Aloe from the Other Side

I’ll be honest. I’m yearning for spring. And for excuses to try out my new Chareau aloe liqueur.

To me this cocktail sings sweetly of springtime with it’s refreshing aloe, and agave flavors, punctuated by fresh lemon and a zing of cilantro.

If cilantro tastes like soap to you, feel free to sub out basil or mint instead!

Ingredients

2 oz white/blanco/silver tequila (I’ve been loving Altos lately)
3/4 oz Chareau aloe liqueur
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 Tbsp cilantro
1/8 oz agave syrup

Directions

Pour ingredients into an empty cocktail shaker. Muddle the cilantro for about 10 seconds. Add ice and shake vigorously until the shaker is frosty. Strain into a glass with ice. Garnish with cilantro and a lemon twist if you like!
